2026 CAYA Thanksgiving Outreach

This year’s Thanksgiving Outreach is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026. Our goal is to provide Thanksgiving meal bags and frozen hens or turkeys to at least 550 plus families in Dallas, Hiram and the surrounding area.

There are a few specific ways that you can help us feed families in Paulding County this Thanksgiving.

  1. Help us deliver the food bags – Please mark your calendar now. We will meet to pack and deliver all 500 plus food bags on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 8:30 at the Church of the Vine (225 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157. We need lots of help that day. Please call us or respond by clicking on the “Open Form” button below if you would like to help pack and/or deliver the food on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We would love your hands, feet and hearts to serve with us.

  2. Donate financially to help purchase the hens, turkeys and any food items not provided – The hens and the turkeys will be ordered soon by CAYA and the bill will be coming soon after that. Please consider helping us cover the cost of the of the birds and any canned or boxed goods that we may need to purchase. (Click on “Donate Here” button below.)

  3. Donate Food Items from the items listed below in order to help us provide holiday meals for the families we are trying to serve. All food donations may be dropped off at one of the two following locations:

    • CAYA Ministries on Tuesday and Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 1 PM, CAYA is located in one of the duplex Apartments of the Dallas Housing Authority community at 445 Paulding Lane, Dallas, GA 30132.

      OR

    • Church of the Vine on Sunday November 15 between 12:30 and 3:30 PM. Church of the Vine is located at 225 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA, 30157.

      Food Items Needed

    • 550 boxes/bags of stuffing

    • 550 - 32 oz. cans OR 1,000 15 oz.cans of Yams

    • 1,100 - 14.5 oz. cans of Green Beans

    • 1,100 - 15 oz. cans of Corn

    • 550 boxes of Muffin mixes

    • 550 desserts (examples include boxes, bags or cans of brownie mix, cookie mix, fruit pie filling and pie crust, pumpkin pie filling with pie crust & evaporated milk, cake mix and frosting, etc. - please no pre-made perishable food items)

    • 1,100 - 10 oz. cans of gravy OR Gravy mixes (no glass jars please)

    • 550 boxes of Mashed potatoes (enough for at least 6 servings)

    • 1100 - 7.25 oz. boxes of Macaroni & Cheese

    • 550 - 14 oz. cans Cranberry Sauce

  4. Pray – Pray that God supplies all of what we need (food, finances and helpers) to accomplish this outreach. Pray for the recipients of the food bags to experience God's love and encouragement.
